The cottage fronts on to a quiet countryside road facing Lough Neagh and at the rear there is a newly planted garden and a new orchard with a variety of heritage fruit trees and fruit bushes. Immediately across the road there is access, through old woodland, to the shores of the picturesque and historic Lough Neagh.
